Handcrafted Concrete Construction
Each Kylindros fire table is handmade by Crete Design in Wisconsin. The cylindrical form provides a defined circular gathering surface while the concrete construction gives the table its substantial architectural appearance.
Because the products are handmade, Crete Design states that measurements are within 1/2 inch of the specified dimensions.

Burner and Fuel Options

Installation
The Kylindros uses a gas burner system and should be installed according to the manufacturer's installation instructions and applicable local gas and building codes.
Professional installation is recommended, particularly for natural gas connections. Before installation, confirm required clearances, fuel connections, ventilation, and other site-specific requirements for the selected burner configuration.
Care and Maintenance
Crete Design recommends cleaning its concrete products with mild soap. The concrete should not remain wet for extended periods, and the manufacturer recommends covering the product when rain is expected. Allow the concrete to dry before covering it.
Excessive heat may cause concrete to crack. Crete Design recommends using an appropriate burner system and not operating a burner above 65,000 BTUs for more than one hour at a time. Burner jets should not be covered while the fire feature is operating. A wind guard is also recommended by the manufacturer.
GFRC concrete can develop natural characteristics such as spotting, hairline cracking, efflorescence, and surface scratches as it is exposed to outdoor conditions. These characteristics can occur with normal outdoor use.
Handmade Variations
Every Kylindros is individually handcrafted, so variations in concrete color, texture, surface character, and dimensions are expected. These differences are inherent to the manufacturing process and contribute to the individual appearance of each table.
