Care and Maintenance
Concrete requires routine care to help maintain its appearance. Clean the surface with mild soap and avoid allowing the concrete to remain wet for extended periods. When rain is expected, cover the fire bowl and allow the concrete to dry before covering it.
Crete Design notes that GFRC may naturally develop spotting, hairline cracking, efflorescence, or scratches as it is exposed to the elements and normal use. These characteristics can be part of the natural appearance of concrete rather than an indication of a manufacturing defect.
Excessive heat can cause concrete to crack. Crete Design recommends not operating the burner on high above 65,000 BTUs for more than one hour at a time and recommends using a wind guard. Do not cover the burner jets while the burner is operating.
Handcrafted Construction
Every Conique is individually handcrafted, so variations in color, texture, surface character, and dimensions may occur. Crete Design states that measurements are within 1/2 inch of the specified dimensions due to the handmade nature of the product.
Shipping and Support
Crete Design states that orders are sent for delivery within approximately 4–6 weeks, with typical delivery taking 4–5 days after shipment. The manufacturer also provides technical assistance for the life of the product.
Important Installation Note
Fire features should be installed according to the manufacturer's instructions and applicable local building, fire, and fuel-gas requirements. Confirm the selected fuel configuration and installation requirements before installation.
